Hello, my name is Jodie and I am the artist behind Creative Bowerbird. About 12 years ago I left my corporate finance job in search of a creative outlet while my children were little. 

I have tried many different arts and crafts but stumbled across my first weaving loom approximately 5 years ago and my love for fibre art was born. I am self taught and I started making woven wall hangings and macrame in 2015. The passion for making evolved into teaching macrame in early 2016 and have since taught over 1500 people. 

My style is very much influenced by my life by the sea in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast. I love to incorporate natural elements such as timber and driftwood (foraged from the sea shore). Each wall hanging piece is unique and one of a kind!
